A Very Disunited Unequal Kingdom

13 Aug

I wonder why we are sitting back and allowing Westminster to claim continuing state status? We can claim continuing state status as well, and I think we should.I also am coming round to thinking that we should tell Westminster that the pound is ours and we may not let them share it,its time their trashy talk was put back on them.Just a bit of steam, thanks Rod another great lunch for thinking.

Auld Acquaintance

Before I head off into my main topic today, I would just like to express my sadness at the tragic passing of Robin Williams. It was with a sense of shock and unreality that I heard the news of his death this morning. Many others today have expressed their sadness at this wonderful talented humorous mans passing, and we shall miss his humanity and insightful thoughtful nature greatly..Nanu nanu Robin.

One of my favourite films that Robin made was “Dead Poets Society” In it his character utters lines which may have been written about himself, but can apply to us all equally “carpe diem, seize the day, make your lives extraordinary.” and extraordinary he certainly was.

Other lines have also become famous from that film “”There’s a time for daring and there’s a time for caution, and a wise man understands which is called for.”

Calvinism, Militarism, Kailyard

I agree with all that is written, and I understand it,much to my amazement.I would like to add the last paragraph, states that we Scots did not vote for David Cameron to become Prime Minister, neither did our friends and relations in the rest of the UK he has a minority and is bolstered up by the Lib-Dems,in their desperation for power, this is not democracy and we can have real democracy here in Scotland with a yes vote.Just my tuppence worth.

Douglas Alexander: Politician, Thinker, Great Briton

11 Aug

Douglas Alexander has a problem, and its himself that is the problem. He cannot tell us what his party,London Labour, has done or what they will do,because it would only take one sentence,he talks continually about the SNP,and why? I suspect it has a bit of the green eyed monster about him,he wishes he could be honest enough and have integrity to be a member of the SNP.He talks about what he fears the most and he says all the lies he thinks he can get away with, and that is his mentality its all about “WHAT HE CAN GET AWAY WITH” not what he will do but what others either have done or not done,he seeks to stand on the shoulders of those that have done what is right for Scotland.I think he is afraid to tell London what the reality is in Scotland, craven coward is the phrase that came to mind, although I don’t know why. When he gives out snide insults and puts the insults on the face of others,he is saying what he wants to say himself it is him who sees others as foreigners, but he tries to put it about like he reads what others think,no Douglas you said what you think for I am certain you cannot read minds.(if this makes sense to you explain it to me please)
